Blended Jagung (corn) & Milo ( Sg. Petani )

ok..it's been awhile since i write anything..been busy lately with exams and assignment..but what I'm going to introduce to you will quench your thirst..making me lau nua ( drooling )..it's call blended jagung (corn) & milo. Where can you get it, Sungai Petani la..The shop is located at the town center at the bus station (Intercity Bus Station), it's among the row of shops behind the bus station right next to the river.

There are many other choices as well and equally good. Yet to try the rest but the ones i tries were awesome.
The jagung blended and milo have the authenticity of flavor and not the colouring of fruit. You'll be able to taste every corn that is blended in your mouth as well as the milo ( local chocolate drink).

Milo Blended - RM 2.00

Jagung Blended - RM 2.00

For that price, it's all worth it. You don't get this anywhere else, not that I know of. Reasonable and generous with the ingredient. My mouth are already watering writing this
The shop.

Nice le..hehe..=)

Other drinks.

Cendol & Candy Ice ( Sg. Petani)

After something solid, lets go to something cooling and guess what, SP also have ok..not just in penang.
This is what we call proud of what we have at our own hometown. Cendol are not easy to find around in sp but you should be able stumble upon this in town. Located at Gluttony Street with all the great food there but we'll talk bout this first.

 Cendol - RM1.60

 Candy Ice - RM 1.60

For one bowl of candy ice and cendol that is only RM 1.60 is reasonable and cheaper than the one in Penang Road. Sorry to say, the cendol there is nice but not worth the hype. It's better here in sp. The red bean is made by themselves and they even have the old machine. How cool is that?? You hardly find it anywhere now.

The uncle caught me taking picture. Oops..

 Price List. Cheap eh..

Old machine a...Classic one k..Got "antique" touch..

The stall use to be run by an old uncle. That day didn't see him, think it is now run by the son and daughter. Poor girl, can't eat coconut, had to have the candy ice. Candy have jelly inside it and with the shredded ice. The jelly is really boucy and sweet and soft. The way to kick that heat away on a hot day. Yums!

Poor girl. Had to eat the candy ice. Can see the Singh uncle behind there? HA!
He also like a..

The best thing bout this stall is that there is not many crowd like the one in Penang Road and you can drive by and eat your cendol in your car. Something like a drive through. But that's just inconsiderate la. Park your car and walk to the stall la, so many car parks. Oh ya, didn't talk bout the cendol. The brown sugar coats everything very nicely on the ice. Not only the red beans are made by them, the green cendol as well. Authenthic, pure and real cendol. Mouth watering d? Come try lo..haha..

She enjoying candy ice. =)

Wantan Mee ( Sg. Petani )

Our first food is coming out from the conveyor belt!!! Hehe!! Here it is!
This is the famous wantan mee in SP that people here is talking about. It starts early in the morning about 7am and it finishes by noon time. After that hour, you cannot get it anymore. It is so famous that you have to take number. Haha! Like going to see the doctor. This one is not to say that the wantan mee so bad that you'll get tummy ache but cause many people till have to take number. To avoid all that, come early. It is located near SP's industrial area. So, early morning people going to work will drop by for breakfast.

This is our number at about 7.20am but we didn't have to wait that long. Just the same usual time you order food but I'm not too sure about 8 or 9 if you have to wait longer. Alright, let's talk bout the wantan mee. Presentation wise, it's the same as any other wantan mee. You'll have noodles, sprinkles of spring onions, fried lard, wantan (pork dumplings), slices of roast pork and pickled chili to go with it. I assure you, it's one of the local food you have to try when you come here. The taste cannot be compared to anywhere else. I would go for another bowl. Hehe! The wantan skin is smooth and according to my girlfriend it's like "slurpp" when you eat the wantan. Haha! =) However, the wantan is rather small.

Look at the sad face. The wantan so small.

 RM 2.80 - small ; RM 3.60 - big

The 'uncle' busy preparing. No time to talk.

Resturant Tian Tian Liang, Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani.

The wantan so nice that other stall not so famous but will try the food next time. There's one 'uu char kueh' at the restaurant that's nice also but that will be on another post. More to come. =)
